Man identified, charged in Moberly standoff
UPDATE: Antonio Banner, 47, was charged with third-degree felony domestic assault and first-degree felony child endangerment. As of Friday, he remained in jail on $10,000 bond.
UPDATE: The standoff in Moberly came to an end just before 10:30 p.m. Thursday. Officers could be seen carrying a man out of the home at the corner of Barrow and Walnut and putting him in a patrol car.
Police got a call before 7 p.m. A neighbor said two teens claimed they got locked out of the house and a man threatened them with a rock. Sergeant Dustin Harrison said they were still looking for the rock.
Officers got a search warrant just before 10:30 p.m. to enter the house.
ORIGINAL: Moberly police are currently on the scene of a standoff at a home near Barrow and Walnut Streets. According to a tweet from the department, a male barricaded himself in his home during an investigation of domestic assault.
Police said the Missouri State Highway Patrol has been called to the scene to assist with negotiations.
