Prayer vigil held for Boone County Fire Protection District captain’s daughter

A prayer vigil was held for a Boone County Fire Protection District Captain’s daughter in Hallsville on Wednesday night.

The Boone County Fire Protection District posted on social media that Capt. Danny Mueller’s 1-year-old daughter suffered a serious head injury after she fell Tuesday night.

Community members were invited to attend the prayer vigil at Little Indians Preschool at 405 E. Hwy. 124 in Hallsville between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

According to the fire protection district, the child was taken to University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri, where she went underwent emergency brain surgery for bleeding and swelling.

The Boone County Fire Protection District reported Wednesday morning the girl was showing positive signs of improvement.
