Motorcyclist hurt in crash near Mizzou’s campus

The University of Missouri Police Department investigated a crash involving three vehicles near campus Tuesday afternoon.

It happened before 1:30 p.m. at the intersection of College and University Avenues.

According to police, a car was traveling south on College when it stopped at a stoplight. A motorcycle stopped behind the car when a pickup truck, also traveling south on College, failed to stop. The motorcycle was rammed into the back of the car, according to officers.

Police said the motorcyclist was taken to the hospital. Officers issued the driver of the truck a summons.
