MoDOT seeks input on Moniteau County bridge project

The Missouri Department of Transportation is seeking public feedback regarding a bridge project in Moniteau County.

The $620,000 project includes replacing the deck on the Route E bridge over Moreau Creek.

According to MoDOT, the condition of the bridge deck has reached a point where replacement is necessary. The existing bridge was built in 1964 and has weight restrictions. MoDOT said after the deck is replaced, the restrictions will be removed.

Construction is scheduled to start in 2019. Route E will be closed during the work, according to MoDOT.
