City of Columbia reports trash collection delays for Tuesday
Trash and recycling collection for some Columbia residents is delayed Tuesday.
The City of Columbia Solid Waste Utility reported it experienced a significant and unexpected shortage of workers on Tuesday morning.

The department said it was working to accommodate the needs of Tuesday route customers.
According to city leaders, customers should leave trash or recycling that isn’t picked up Tuesday on the side of the curb for collection later this week.
Trash and recycling pickup for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday route customers hasn’t been impacted.
The Solid Waste Utility plans to notify customers if there are any changes.
