UPDATE: Search continues overnight for 74-year-old missing man
UPDATE, 8:28 p.m.: Officials with the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri Department of Conservation said they will continue their patrols throughout the evening and overnight for Jerry Kinman.
Initials reports from fire officials stated the Callaway County investigators suspended the search around 4:30 p.m.
UPDATE, 5:00 p.m.: Officials said they have suspended the search and will continue looking for Kinman on Sunday.
UPDATE, 3:15 p.m.: Water patrol is continuing to search the lake, and dogs from Task Force One are also on scene.
The North Callaway Fire Department and the Millersburg Fire Department are still on scene, but Boone County crews have left.
The Conservation Department has officials on scene as well.
UPDATE, 10:40 a.m.: The Callaway County Sheriff’s Department said authorities are searching for Jerry Kinman, 74. He has been reported as a missing person.
More state agencies are coming to help search efforts, including the Missouri Highway Patrol Water Rescue, the Department of Conservation and the Boone County K-9 search unit.
UPDATE, 9:15 a.m.: Crews are searching for a 74-year-old male. Authorities said the lost man’s wife told officials the man called her early this morning and told her he fell near Little Dixie Lake but did not know where.
Callaway County authorities were called to the scene at around 4:40 a.m.
Crews from North Callaway, Millersburg, Centralia, Missouri State Highway Patrol, Boone County and Callaway County are on the scene.
Boone County officials are searching the area with drones after searches on foot, on ATV and by helicopter were unsuccessful.
ORIGINAL: Boone County Fire Protection District confirms they are assisting Callaway County with a lost person search in the area of Little Dixie Lake.
Boone County says they are coordinating the search with ground units, two drones and the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s helicopter.
