UPDATE: Power restored for most Boone Electric Cooperative customers

UPDATE: As on 5:00 p.m., only 2 customers are without power.

ORIGINAL STORY: Boone Electric Cooperative officials confirm nearly 200 customers are without power Saturday morning following a car hitting a power pole.

Officials said service will “be out for awhile” while crews replace the pole.
