School of the Osage cross country runner hit by SUV

A cross country runner from the School of the Osage was taken to the University of Missouri Medical Center in serious condition Tuesday morning after he was hit by a SUV.

The 14-year-old boy was hit in the 300 block of Four Seasons Drive in Lake Ozark. According to the Camden County Sheriff’s Office, the boy ran into the path of the vehicle driven by a 67-year-old Lake Ozark woman.

The boy’s parents were on scene when deputies arrived.
