Heat wave through the weekend

TONIGHT: Tonight will remain warm with lows dropping into the mid 70s. It will feel muggy under mostly clear skies and winds out of the east up to 6 mph.

WEDNESDAY: A weak cold front will drop south,bringing humidity down only slightly. It will be hot with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s under mostly sunny skies and east winds up to 8 mph. Heat indices will reach 98-104.

EXTENDED: The heat wave continues through the weekend with highs in the mid to upper 90s and heat indices 100-105. There is an isolated storm chance Friday but our better chance of storms arrives Saturday afternoon with scattered showers and storms possible. The heat and humidity continue through the weekend but as a cold front moves south Sunday into Monday, we’ll pick up a better chance of storms and temperatures will cool down a bit, to near 90 Monday and upper 80s Tuesday.
