Two arrests after man shot in Jefferson City
Police confirmed Monday two people were arrested for a June 27 shooting on Boonville Road in Jefferson City.
Joseph Wilson, 33 of Jefferson City, was charged Monday with a felony count of unlawful possession of a firearm. A 35 year-old woman was also arrested on suspicion of shooting out of a vehicle and hindering investigators, but those charges are still under review by prosecutors.
ABC 17 News previously reported officers responded around 1 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, for reports of a man yelling he had been shot near Boonville Road and West Main Street, about a block away from a Break Time gas station. Bernard Hoffman, 26, of Cole County was taken to a local hospital and then University Hospital in Columbia for one gunshot wound.
