Suspect in home invasion identified

Maurice Griffith was arrested in connection to a home invasion in the 1200 block of N. Eighth Street on Friday.

Police suspect Griffith chased a woman with whom he was previously in a relationship while holding a rifle. When the victim ran into the home, Griffith allegedly broke down the door and fired the rifle inside the home where two other people were also inside.

Griffith was arrested on six counts, including armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon and assault. He was also a convicted felon.
