Beautiful weekend, heat returns next week
THIS AFTERNOON: Slowly but surely we will continue to track drier air settling into Mid-Missouri through this afternoon. Places well north already seeing dew points in the mid 60s, that is the type of dry air that is going to be bringing us the pleasant weekend. Throughout the rest of this afternoon, we’ll see temperatures slowly rise into the middle 80s as well as watching that northeast breeze pick up in the afternoon around 10-15mph. We remain dry this afternoon outside of a slight isolated storm risk for folks along I-44.
TONIGHT: Clear skies through the night and northeasterly winds up to 10 mph will set the stage for a beautiful evening. Temperatures overnight will drop into the upper 50s and lower 60s, with lower humidity arriving.
EXTENDED: This weekend will be one of the nicest weekends we have seen this so far this summer with abundant sunshine and highs in the mid 80s Saturday and upper 80s Sunday. The humidity will be low with northeast to east winds up to 10 mph.. Nights will be comfortable, dropping to near 60 Saturday night and lower 60s Sunday night. We’ll start heating up again Monday and into the middle of next week as we jump back into the 90s and the humidity climbs. Watch ABC 17 News for the latest forecast and check back here for updates.
