Jefferson City man accused of promoting, possessing child pornography
The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control announced Thursday it arrested a Jefferson City man after an investigation by members of its forensics unit.
According to the Highway Patrol, Dana P. Cline, 50, of Jefferson City was arrested at his home on Ridgeway Drive after troopers and police officers with the Jefferson City Police Department executed a search warrant on Wednesday.
Investigators said child pornography and computer equipment were taken from Cline’s home.
Cole County Prosecuting Attorney Mark Richardson charged Cline with first-degree promoting child pornography and five counts of possession of child pornography.
Cline’s bond is set at $100,000.
The Highway Patrol urges the public to report anyone who attempts to engage in unwanted, inappropriate, or sexualized communications with children to law enforcement officers.
