Weekend ends on a hot note

**HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF MID-MISSOURI UNTIL MONDAY AT 8PM**

FATHER’S DAY: We’re off to a warm start this morning, so it will be easy for us to be in the 90s by lunch-time today with some breezy conditions. We have another isolated chance of seeing a shower or thunderstorm pop up in the afternoon hours, but most of us will stay dry. We top out in the middle 90s and that humidity will make it feel as warm at 105 in some locations. Make sure any outdoor activities are accompanied by plenty of water and sunscreen.

TONIGHT: We’ll see another night warmer than average across Mid-Missouri as temperatures only drop off in the middle 70s for lows. Setting the table for another warm afternoon Monday.

EXTENDED : Monday we continue the theme of hot and humid weather as we reach back into the middle 90s. We’re tracking the potential for some storms to slide into some of our northern counties Monday night. Our pattern really begins to change Tuesday as a frontal boundary slides into the region and parks itself in Mid-Missouri. It will allow for cooler conditions and a much needed better chance of rain. We’ll have to track the potential for any strong to severe activity through that time period as well. Watch ABC 17 News for the latest forecast and check back here for updates.
