Mizzou, Kansas to play in charity alumni game this summer

The Border War is back! Well, sort of. Mizzou and Kansas will reportedly play in an alumni game for charity on July 28 at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena in Independence, Missouri. Tip-off will be at 7:30 p.m.

The Kansas City Star reported former MU basketball player Kareem Rush is organizing the event. The game will benefit the “Rush Forward Foundation” and the Boys and Girls Club.

The game will be called ‘Rivalry Renewed.’ According to the game’s official website, the inaugural event will showcase some of the best players from both Kansas and Mizzou.

The website’s home page says, “The lineups will include many stars from the NBA, the G-League, and overseas as well. For Kansas, you’ll see Mario Chalmers, Brandon Rush, Marcus and Markief Morris, Ben McLemore, Wayne Selden, Cole Aldrich, and many others. For Missouri, you’ll see DeMarre Carroll, Jordan Clarkson, Phil Pressey, Kareem Rush, Linas Kleiza, and many more.”
