Thursday Night Live location changed

UPDATE 6/12: Jefferson City Public Works said they hope to have two-lane traffic by the end of the week on Madison street.

The city says they are working with the owner of the building who is being very compliant with them.

ORIGINAL: This week’s Thursday Night Live event is moved to the corner of Monroe and High streets in Jefferson City. Gates for the event will open at 6 p.m. Thursday, and entry points will be in the same locations as past events.

Last week’s wall collapse on Madison and High streets was next to the stage for the event and closed those streets until an investigation is completed. More of the wall collapsed over the weekend, and construction crews are monitoring the area, according to the Jefferson City Fire Department.

Emergency officials will be at the event to talk to attendees about safety in the heat.
