Brief relief Wednesday, heat & humidity return
TONIGHT: It will be another warm night as lows drop to near 70 degrees under partly cloudy skies. A cluster of storms forming in east-central Kansas after midnight will track to the southeast into the early morning hours, bringing a chance of rain to parts of Mid-Missouri. Areas south of I-70 have the best chance toward morning. No severe storms are expected.
WEDNESDAY: After a chance of morning storms, we’ll see partly cloudy skies Wednesday with afternoon highs staying in the mid to upper 80s with lower humidity. Winds will come in from the northeast up to 8 mph, giving us relief from the heat & humidity.
EXTENDED: Wednesday night will be a bit more comfortable as we drop into the mid 60s but the heat and humidity start to rise again Thursday as a warm front moves through. This will bring a slight storm chance in the morning, mainly north of I-70 but most areas will stay dry. High temperatures reach the low 90s Thursday and will jump into the mid 90s by the weekend with heat indices reaching near 100. Rain chances look minimal within the next 7-days as we will likely stay dry for the upcoming weekend. Watch ABC 17 News for the latest forecast and check back here for updates.
