Gov. Mike Parson to address General Assembly for first time Monday

Governor Mike Parson has a few items on Monday’s agenda to kick off his second full week as Missouri’s 57th governor.

Parson will address the joint session of the Missouri Legislature Monday at 5:05 p.m. for the first time as Governor.

Technically, the General Assembly is still in a special session considering impeachment for former governor Eric Greitens, we don’t know if that will continue.

After Monday’s joint session, Parson and the First Lady are hosting a reception in the state capitol’s rotunda.

Parson said friends, families, supporters, legislators and their families are invited to the reception.

Parson and the First Lady will greet guests throughout the reception in the Governor’s Office.

Tomorrow, Parson begins a two-day listening tour across the state of Missouri with nine stops, including a stop in Columbia on Wednesday morning.
