Boat fire at Lake of the Ozarks sends two to the hospital with burns

A boat caught fire at the 8 mile marker in Gravois Mills at the Lake of the Ozarks Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a flash fire happened when the boat was started.

49-year-old William Walker of Gravois Mills, Missouri and 48-year-old Tracey Garcia of Covington, Georgia, were passengers in the boat and taken to Lake Regional Hospital by ambulance with burns.

Garcia suffered minor injures and Walker suffered more moderate injuries.

The driver of the 1982 Sea Ray was 67-year-old David Zastera.
