Another gorgeous day Monday, warmth and rains return by end of week

TONIGHT: Another cool night will settle over Mid-Missouri under mostly clear skies. Keep those windows open as we’ll see more comfortable dry air, along with temperatures in the mid to upper 50s. Those northwest breezes will ease off as well.

MONDAY: The only big weather story we’re tracking for Monday is an upper level wave which doesn’t have much moisture with it. As it tracks across Mid-Missouri, it will bring with it a mix of clouds and sun. Temperatures will remain on the seasonal side as we likely touch 80 degrees tomorrow afternoon. With the passage of that system, winds will swing out of the southwest, ushering in the beginning of this week’s return to the warmth.

EXTENDED: We continue to stay dry through midweek, but we’re watching a series of disturbances developing along a growing ridge of high pressure over the central plains. This will lead to an unsettled weather pattern developing across Mid-Missouri as we begin to see increasing rain chances into the weekend, starting Thursday. We’ll continue to track any thunderstorm risks headed into that timeframe. Make sure you stick with ABC17 for the latest updates in your forecast!
