Jefferson City teenager arrested after man found shot in car
UPDATE 11 P.M.: An 18-year-old man was arrested Thursday evening in connection to the shooting at East Dunklin and Maple Streets, according to Lieutenant David Williams of the Jefferson City Police Department.
Williams said the man is “the person responsible” for the shooting, and that he faces charges of Assault, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

ORIGINAL STORY: Jefferson City police confirm they’re investigating a shooting in the 500 block of East Dunklin.
Several Jefferson City schools are currently on lockdown, including Simonsen, Thorpe Gordon, East and Jefferson City Academic Center.
A spokesperson for the school district said they will share follow-up information as soon as it becomes available.
