Jefferson City man charged after swinging ‘a ninja style sword’ in a threatening manner

According to a probable cause statement, a man swung a “ninja style sword” at several people in the 1000 block of Madison St. on Wednesday.

Allegedly, Chrystopher Wright was in an argument with the individuals and took out a ninja style sword in a threatening manner.

Wright began to swing the sword around and doing “ninja style moves.” Witnesses said he seemed agitated and angry.

Officers got to the scene and demanded that Wright drop the sword multiple times. After Wright refused to drop the sword, a Taser was deployed on him and he was taken into custody.

Wright was charged with armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.
