Defendants named in DeBrodie civil lawsuit refuse to talk after surfaced allegations

More than a dozen defendants were named in a new civil lawsuit related to the death of Carl DeBrodie. After digging through the new allegations, ABC 17 News sought out the people named in the lawsuit to see if they were willing to shed more light on the allegations.

The defendants are as follows:

Second Chance Homes of Fulton, LLC Rachael Rowden, Owner Sherry Paulo, Manager Anthony Flores, Sr., Employee and husband of Paulo Callaway County Public Administrator’s Office Karen Digh Allen, Callaway County Public Administrator Robin Rees Love, Employee Missouri Department of Mental Health Mark Stringer, Director Missouri Department of Mental Health – Division of Developmental Disabilities Valerie Huhn, Director Wendy Witcig, Deputy Director of Community Operations Marcy Volner, Assistant Director of Central Region Wendy Davis, Director of Central Missouri Regional Office Callaway County Special Services (CCSS) Julia Kaufmann, Executive Director Tiffany Keipp, Employee and Carl’s case manager Melissa Delap, Employee and Carl’s community RN

Public Administrator Karen Digh was at her office but said that she couldn’t share any details or information. Digh was the only defendant who ABC 17 News spoke with face-to-face.

Sherry Paolo, Rachael Rowden, Tiffany Keipp and Melissa Delap were not home and didn’t speak with ABC 17 News.

Executive Director of Callaway County Special Services, Julia Kaufmann, was also not available for comment but Janelle Wilson with CCSS said she has no idea of the new allegations.
