MoDOT to start second phase of Highway 63 bridge repair project

Crews are set to start the second phase of a bridge repair project Tuesday night on Highway 63 south of Columbia.

MoDOT crews will shift their work over the Bonne Femme Creek by closing the passing lane of the highway and reopening the driving lane. The shift is set to happen during the overnight hours.

Southbound drivers should expect significant traffic delays during the second phase of the project, according to MoDOT.

The highway’s access to Tom Bass Road will also be closed during the work.

The entire project is set to be finished by early July.
