Classic Mid-Missouri summer heat just in time for Memorial Day

TONIGHT: Any storms that we see pop up this evening will quickly subside as the sun sets overnight. That will leave to a mix of clouds and clear skies overnight as temperatures slowly work their way back to the upper 60s and low 70s, staying muggy as well with dew points in the mid 60s.

SUNDAY: We look to be even warmer as we make our way into Sunday, temps in the morning start off in the 70s but we warm up quickly with temperatures in the mid-80s by lunch time and warming into the mid 90s by the afternoon. Dew points will stay up in the low 70s so heat index values will range from 95-100.

EXTENDED: Sunday night is another warm evening, and it’s possible that we see some more storms develop into Sunday night especially into southeastern portions of our viewing area and along I-44. Memorial Day looks dry as of now, but will another hot & humid day in store, we will have to watch for the potential of any heating of the day. It will be hot with temperatures in the low to mid 90s and heat index values in the upper 90s. Make sure to pack extra water & sunscreen and stay alert if any thunderstorms begin to develop for the holiday. Stay tuned to ABC 17 for the latest updates to the forecast.
