Another round of strong storms this evening, clearing out to start the work week
TONIGHT: A line of thunderstorms is poised for move through much of mid-Missouri this evening. These storms are moving from the southwest to the northeast. Expect storms to arrive to our SW counties from 6pm to 8pm, our central counties from 8pm to 10pm and moving out of the viewing area by midnight. We could see some left over showers and storms, after midnight but we’re not concerned about any severe threat for storms early Monday morning.
MONDAY: As the large area of low pressure, responsible for this weekend’s active weather, moves of to our east, there is a chance that there could be a few left over showers or storms early Monday morning for your commute, would be a good idea to have the umbrella handy as you head out the door. However, by 9am we clear out and begin to see sunshine break back into Mid-Missouri. We’ll have highs in the low 80s.
EXTENDED: We warm up Tuesday as winds turn back out of the south, with temperatures making it in to the mid to upper 80s again. We’ll see more sunshine under partly cloudy conditions as well. The rainy, unsettled pattern ramps up Wednesday night as we watch another parade of systems roll through the area into the weekend with on an off rain/storm chances through Sunday. Stay tuned to ABC 17 for the latest updates to the forecast.
