Warm weekend, storm chances
TONIGHT: It will be a partly cloudy night across the region, yet comfortable. Lows will bottom out near 60 degrees with light winds out of the east. Patchy fog is likely to develop in areas that experienced rain.
SATURDAY: A few showers or isolated storms are possible in the morning west of 63 from 7-11 AM. These will be drying as they move east. The afternoon looks partly cloudy and warm with highs in the mid 80s. South winds up to 10 mph will make it feel a bit humid. An isolated afternoon storm is possible but most areas will stay dry.
EXTENDED: Storms will move in from the west after 7 PM Saturday evening, affecting areas along and north of I-70 with the best chance north of HWY 24. These could be severe with damaging winds the main threat and some large hail. An isolated tornado is also possible. These will move east and out of the area by 2 AM. Heading into Sunday, spotty storms are possible Sunday afternoon as a cold front moves through. A marginal risk for severe storms is in place for Sunday, with the main threat being damaging winds and large hail. High temperatures will stay in the lower 80s Sunday and Monday, dropping into the lower 60s at night. Through the middle of next week we remain in an active weather pattern with on and off storm chances. Watch ABC 17 News and check back here for updates.
