TRAFFIC ALERT: MU graduation, SEC softball tournament underway

Mizzou’s graduation and the SEC softball tournament are both underway this weekend. It’s also Mother’s Day Sunday, so residents in Columbia should expect some extra traffic.

Here’s a list of the graduation ceremonies. The last ceremony on Friday starts at 8 p.m. and commencement ceremonies resume at 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning. More than 5,550 students are expected to receive their diplomas.

According to an MU news release, “commencement guests should arrive no earlier than 30 minutes before the commencement ceremony begins as several ceremonies are being held at the same locations throughout the weekend.” Graduates should arrive 60 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony.

Public parking available in lots J, K, O, M and P, with accessible parking available in lots K, O and the north M lot.

The 2018 SEC softball championship is also underway this weekend. Here’s a list of the games and the times when they occur. The final game is 8 p.m. Saturday.

Parking garages: free on Saturday and Sunday Meters are enforced Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m.
