Less than two weeks left of legislative session, only two bills signed by governor

The countdown has begun to the end of the 2018 legislative session at the Missouri Capitol.

Lawmakers have less than two weeks left to approve the 2019 fiscal budget and several bills.

So far, only two bills have been signed into law by the governor, with 33 others waiting for his signature.

Local Boone County and Columbia officials previously said what their legislative priorities were at the beginning of the session; a state-wide prescription drug monitoring program and a streamline and use tax as common priorities.

Neither bills that would create a PDMP or use tax have been passed by both the House and Senate.

Lawmakers will meet at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday for the Conference Committee on Budget hearing.
