Traffic stop leads to big marijuana bust on I-70 in Cooper County

The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested a New Jersey man Sunday morning after finding about 20 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop.

Sgt. Scott White said troopers pulled over Charles Greenidge, 56, of Pleasant Hills, near mile marker 95 for a traffic violation.

Highway Patrol K9 Rony found the marijuana inside coolers and trash bags inside the car, according to White.

Greenidge was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance. He’s currently being held in the Cooper County jail.
