CPD investigating shooting on Oak Street

UPDATE 11:30 pm: Sgt. Clint Sinclair said so far there are no reported injuries from the shooting, but said one building was hit by gunfire.

He said it’s unclear how many times the building was struck.

Sinclair said at this time no one is in custody and officers are still working to gather more information.

ORIGINAL: A sergeant with the Columbia Police Department confirmed officers found more than a dozen shell casings near Oak Street and Unity Drive Saturday night.

Officers were called to the area around 10:45 p.m.

Police have set up evidence markers on Oak Street and a police K9 is on scene.

ABC 17 News has a crew on scene working to get more information, including if anyone was hurt.
