Mizzou Town Hall: President and Chancellor to give updates on initiatives, legislative affairs

The University of Missouri System president and Mizzou chancellor will host a town hall Monday morning to talk about updates for the university.

Mun Choi, UM System president, and Alexander Cartwright, Mizzou chancellor, are expected to give updates on UM System initiatives, legislative affairs, the budget process and more.

The town hall starts at 10 a.m. in the Columns Ballroom at the Reynolds Alumni Center.

Cartwright announced several initiatives in February that were designed to boost research and creative activities on campus.

Some of those initiatives include creating a mentorship program, an annual competition bringing students, faculty and staff together to identify and solve problems in Missouri and the world, and to attract at least three externally funded national research centers to the university within the next five years.
