Fulton police arrest man after fight, attack on jail staffer

Fulton police arrested a man Sunday night after a fight in the southwest part of the city.

Police responded to a fight in the area of W. Chestnut Street around 7:00 p.m.

An officer separated two men fighting. One of the men, Scott Elmore, became aggressive and started fighting with the officer, according to police.

The officer took Elmore into custody and transported him to the Callaway County Jail.

After arriving at the jail, Elmore then reportedly assaulted a jail staff member.

He is facing possible charges of assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.
