UPDATE: No reported injuries in Creasy Springs Road fire

UPDATE 10:15 p.m.: Fire investigators said the home is considered a total loss. Investigators believe discarded smoking materials on a deck started the fire.

UPDATE 9:30 p.m: Fire investigators are working to determine what may have started the fire at a home in the 5100 block of North Creasy Springs Road.

Fire officials said it’s unclear if anyone was home at the time of the fire, but said there were no reported injuries.

As of 8:30 p.m., the Boone County Fire Protection District said the fire was under control. Firefighters were on scene until at least 10 p.m.

ORIGINAL: Firefighters from the Boone County Fire Protection District are working to put out a fire at a home in the 5100 block of North Creasy Springs Road.

The fire broke out around 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

ABC 17 News crews on scene reported seeing flames coming through the roof of the home.

The fire department said Creasy Springs will be shut down while crews work to put out the fire.

ABC 17 News is working to get more information from fire officials, including what may have started the fire and if anyone was hurt.
