Stormy and Warm(y) week ahead!

TONIGHT: Temperatures will slowly drop through the 60s this evening, and overnight lows will bottom out around 50 degrees. We’ll see a slight increase in clouds as a warm front slowly slides through the area. We’ll also see winds increase out of the south through the early morning hours.

MONDAY: After a mild morning, temperatures will rise to near 80 degrees, with mostly sunny skies and a stiff southwest breeze. It will be fairly windy tomorrow with peak gusts upwards of 30mph, especially after 12pm. Other than the wind, we stay dry, and it looks great day to be outdoors.

EXTENDED: A slow moving system will begin to affect the area beginning Tuesday afternoon, as we have a chance for some isolated storms. We’ll have on and off chances for showers and storms continuing through Friday morning, with temperatures holding in the upper 70s. The latest data supports the strongest storms will stay in north and western Missouri, but we will have to continue to track any changes over the next 48 hours. Thursday looks like a very wet day as wide-spread rainfall develops over most of the viewing area. Stay tuned to ABC 17 for the latest forecast and updates.
