Mizzou’s J’Mon Moore drafted by Green Bay

Mizzou wide receiver J’Mon Moore said hearing his name called during the NFL Draft would be a dream come true.

That dream became a reality today.

The Green Bay Packers selected Moore in the 4th round with the 133rd overall selection.

Moore becomes the first Mizzou wide receiver taken in the draft since 2015 (Bud Sasser).

Moore led the Tigers during the 2017 season with 1,082 yards and 10 touchdown receptions.

No other Tiger got selected in the 2018 NFL draft. It is the first year since 2012 that no Mizzou defensive lineman heard his name called during the draft. Just two players have been drafted the last two years from Mizzou, J’Mon Moore and Charles Harris.

Defensive end Marcell Frazier did not have to wait long before getting scooped up by an NFL team. The Seattle Seahawks signed Frazier to a contract as an undrafted free agent just minutes after the draft.

Safety Anthony Sherrils and tight end Jason Reese followed closely behind. Sherrils signed with Detroit while Reese signed with Tampa Bay. Sherrils tallied 64 tackles and two interceptions during the 2017 season. Jason Reese caught three touchdown passes last year.

Offensive lineman Adam Ploudre signed with the Oakland Raiders while offensive lineman Tyler Howell signed with the New York Giants.
