Mexico man facing murder charges after body found in Monroe County

Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney Talley Kendrick charged James Addie, 51, of Mexico with first degree murder after a body was found on a gravel road in the Middle Grove area of Monroe County.

Deputies of the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and Troopers of the State Highway Patrol found the body in the area of Highway 151 and Route M Friday around 10:15 p.m Friday.

The victim is identified as 35-year-old Molly Watson of Huntsville, according to a Sergeant with the Highway Patrol. A cause of death has not been determined, and an autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is the agency in charge of the investigation with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office assisting.

Addie’s bond is set at $500,000 cash-only.
