Man falls off roof after attempted burglary
Emergency crews transported a man to the hospital Friday morning after a reported attempted burglary in central Columbia.
Columbia police and firefighters responded to the 300 block of Park Avenue just before 2 a.m.
Police on scene told ABC 17 News the man attempted to burglarize the home, but the people inside saw him.
The suspect went onto the roof of the building to try to get away but fell off onto the ground below, police said.
Police said the man was transported to the hospital, but did not provide details on the severity of his injuries.
It is unclear if the man will face any possible charges.
