Columbia police arrest man accused of shooting woman in leg
Columbia police arrested Shawn Sweezer, 31, late Thursday night after a woman was shot in the 2400 block of Clark Lane.
Police said they responded to the house for a medical emergency and found a woman with a gunshot wound to her leg.
Officers said Sweezer was under the influence of methamphetamine at the time of the shooting.
Sweezer is a convicted felon.
Sweezer faces possible charges of domestic assault and unlawful for certain people to possess a gun. He was also arrested on two outstanding felony warrants with a total cash only bond of $10,000.
