Victim identified in deadly crash on Highway O in Cooper County

UPDATE 9:05 P.M.: According to the crash report, Willard Meyer, 95, of Jefferson City, was driving and traveled off of the right side of the road, hitting a large rock and several trees before his 2007 Dodge Durango overturned.

ORIGINAL STORY: According to a Facebook post by the Cooper County Fire Protection District, shortly after 2:30 p.m.. Cooper County Fire Protection District was called out to assist Prairie Home Fire Protection District for a motor vehicle accident.

The driver reportedly left the roadway and rolled his vehicle several times on Highway O, South of Swan Rd.

The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene by the Cooper County Coroner.
