Downed power lines across Hwy 24 near Drew Road
UPDATE 4:51 P.M.: Ameren says power is expected to be restored around 9 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
UPDATE 3:33 P.M.: According to Boone County Fire Protection District, the damage looked like a tractor caught a power pole and knocked it down, causing a small fire and lines across the roadway. MSHP also confirmed there were no injuries.
ORIGINAL STORY: Boone County Joint Communications confirmed in a tweet a report of downed power lines across Highway 24 North on Thursday. The downed power lines are creating traffic.
