Frosty Thursday night but nice Friday

TONIGHT: Temperatures again will drop close to freezing under clear skies. A slight breeze out of the east only up to 6 mph will allow for some frost to develop. There is a Frost Advisory in effect for areas along and south of I-70 from 1 AM – 9 AM Friday morning.

FRIDAY: After a chilly morning, the April sun will boost temperatures to the low 60s in the afternoon with an easterly breeze of 6-10 mph.

EXTENDED: It won’t be as cold Friday night with lows near 40 as clouds increase. Moisture will return from the west bringing a slight shower chance to areas west of HWY 63 Saturday afternoon and to our southwestern counties Saturday night. Most areas will stay dry Saturday but it will be a bit cool due to mostly cloudy skies and an easterly breeze which will hold our high temperatures in the upper 50s to near 60. As a storm system passes to our south Sunday, showers will become more likely in southern Missouri, spreading as far north as I-70. Sunday’s temperatures will also come in below average for late-April, reaching the low 60s. Next week starts off warmer and more like late April as we reach the mid to upper 60s with a chance of showers Tuesday evening. Stay tuned to ABC 17 for the latest forecast and updates.
