Frost likely into the night, with 60s by Friday afternoon
THURSDAY: It’s still a cool afternoon across Mid-Missouri, but temperatures will continue to climb into the 50s through the day. Plenty of sunshine will accompany your Thursday, along with a light breeze out of the north up to 10 mph. While temperatures will still be nearly 15 degrees below average, spring is slowly building back into the region.
TONIGHT: Temperatures again will drop close to freezing under mostly cloudy skies. A slight breeze out of the east only up to 6 mph will allow for some frost to develop. There is a frost advisory in effect for areas along and south of I-70 from 1 AM – 9 AM tomorrow morning.
EXTENDED: We’ll hover around the upper 50s to low 60s for the rest of the week with dry conditions. As a storm system passes to our south this weekend, rain is possible mainly in our southwestern counties late Saturday, spreading a little bit further north Saturday night into Sunday. Temperatures will be slightly below average this weekend with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s and nights in the lower 40s. Next week is likely to bring warmer weather, as highs climb into the upper 60s and lower 70s under partly cloudy skies. No severe weather is expected over the next week, but we are watching another round of rain that will likely track through the region Tuesday into Wednesday.
