Another cold morning before a pleasant weekend
THURSDAY: We’ll see morning clouds for the first part of Thursday, but sunny skies will quickly take hold. While it will still be breezy, it will be nothing like what was experienced Wednesday afternoon. Winds will be out of the north up to 13 mph. Despite the northerly breeze, we’ll see plenty of sunshine and temperatures climbing into the mid 50s.
TONIGHT: Temperatures again will drop close to freezing under partly cloudy skies. A slight breeze out of the east only up to 6 mph will allow for some frost to develop. There is a frost advisory in effect for areas along and south of I-70 from 1 AM – 9 AM tomorrow morning.
EXTENDED: We’ll hover around the upper 50s to low 60s for the rest of the week with dry conditions. As a storm system passes to our south this weekend, rain is possible mainly in our southwestern counties late Saturday, spreading a little bit further north Saturday night into Sunday. Temperatures will be slightly below average this weekend with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s and nights in the lower 40s. Next week is likely to bring warmer weather, as highs climb into the upper 60s and lower 70s under partly cloudy skies. No severe weather is expected over the next week, but we are watching another round of rain that will likely track through the region Tuesday into Wednesday.
