Breezy Wednesday sets up a cold start to Thursday
THIS AFTERNOON: We’ll continue to see windy conditions as temperatures continue to rise through the fifties. We will remain mostly sunny through the rest of the evening, with a few clouds from time to time. Those winds could be very gusty at times, up to 50 mph especially for points along I-70 and east of HWY 63 where a wind advisory is in effect. Biggest threat will be damage to small tree limbs, and issues with operating high-profile vehicles.
TONIGHT: Tonight we will see partly cloudy skies as winds remain breezy. Northwesterly winds from 16-21mph, we’ll be cold to into the morning as temperatures drop into the lower thirties, make sure you have that jacket as you head out the door.
EXTENDED: We’ll hover around the upper 50s to low 60s for the rest of the week with dry conditions. As a storm system passes to our south this weekend, rain is possible mainly in our southwestern counties late Saturday, spreading a little bit further north Saturday night into Sunday. Temperatures will be slightly below average this weekend with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s and nights in the lower 40s. Next week is likely to bring warmer weather, as highs climb into the upper 60s and lower 70s under partly cloudy skies. Stay tuned to ABC 17 for the latest forecast and updates.
