Columbia police arrest two after attempted armed robbery

UPDATE 2 PM: Busch has been charged with robbery in the second degree.

ORIGINAL STORY: Columbia police arrested Devon Busch and Trevion Travis after an attempted armed robbery in the 1400 block of Bass Avenue.

Police said on Saturday, a man had made arrangements online to sell an item and later got a message that the individual purchasing his item was at his house.

The victim said he left the house to find the purchaser and was attacked from behind by two suspects. During the struggle, the victim said he heard a “pop” before the suspects ran away.

Later in the day, officers were notified that a man with a gunshot wound had entered a hospital, who police later identified as Travis.

Officers were able to determine Travis and Busch were the suspects in the attempted armed robbery.

The two face possible charges of felony robbery and armed criminal action. According to public jail records, they both have bonds of $250,000.
