Columbia police arrest man accused of stabbing 65-year-old in throat multiple times

Columbia police arrested Steven Devine early Sunday morning after officers were dispatched to the Phoenix Health Programs on Leslie Lane for reports of a stab victim.

Police said a 65-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the throat by Devine. Officers saw several cuts to the victim’s throat, hands and ear.

Devine was charged with assault and armed criminal action.
