Another blast of winter hits mid-Missouri on Sunday

TONIGHT: Clouds will be increasing this evening ahead of this final punch from this strong system. Winds will gradually be turning toward a more westerly direction behind the cold front, and beginning to usher in colder air into Mid-Missouri, with lows bottoming out in the middle 30s. We’ll have a chance of showers returning, but will hold off until the overnight hours.

TOMORROW: Yet another cold & snowy Sunday is on tap for mid-Missouri. As you head out the door Sunday morning, you’ll need the jacket as we’ll be in the 30s with wind chills in the middle 20s. We aren’t going to see much in the way of accumulation, but we will see on and of snow showers, especially in the morning. Roads will remain wet as air temperatures will be above freezing for the day. Highs will be in the mid 30s by the afternoon.

EXTENDED: Temperatures will only top out in the low 50s on Monday, but we’ll see plenty of sunshine. Sunny skies will continue throughout most of the week, even with the passing of a cold front Tuesday, setting our temperatures back closer to 60 for the remainder of the week. Headed in to next weekend we’ll likely see temperatures stay below normal, with a chance at a widespread rainfall event on Saturday. Stay tuned to ABC 17 for the latest forecast and updates.
