Columbia police arrest man accused of kidnapping another man

Columbia police arrested Clinton Jones after officers were dispatched to the 5000 block of Clark Lane for reports of a verbal disturbance.

Police said Jones took a man against his will by forcibly removing him from his house. Jones was also accused of forcing the man into his car and driving around the area.

The victim said that Jones made multiple statements that he was not free to leave and threatened his life if he attempted to try and get out of the car. He also claimed that Jones hit him in the face multiple times.

Jones faces possible charges of kidnapping and domestic assault.
