Undocumented immigrant charged with stabbing man in face multiple times
Camden County deputies arrested Marco Vivas on Sunday after officers were dispatched to a possible disturbance in the 200 block of Lakeview Resort Boulevard.
The victim claimed he was stabbed in the face with a knife by his friend.
Officers made contact with Vivas and saw that his left eye was completely swollen shut and blood was coming from his mouth.
Vivas claimed he was not sure what happened but he knew he had gotten into a fight with the victim. He also said that the two were drunk during the incident.
According to the probable cause statement, the victim had four superficial cuts on the left side of his face.
The victim told officers that the two had been drinking and had gotten into a fight in the kitchen. During the fight, Vivas shoved him and grabbed a knife.
The fight allegedly caused the two to fall to the ground where Vivas cut the victim’s leg multiple times. The victim said he was able to defend himself by punching Vivas in the face several times.
Deputies said they saw a large amount of blood on the kitchen floor.
According to the probable cause statement, Vivas had a fractured left cheekbone and is not a citizen of the United States. Officers said he is in the country illegally.
Vivas was charged with assault.
